On Monday, Everett Jennings was arrested at the Hopkins County Courthouse due to an active warrant of Evading Arrest or Detention. This marks the second arrest for Jennings in as many weeks, following an alleged attempt to flee apprehension from a family member’s residence.
Jennings was previously arrested in Rockwall County on another charge related to the warrant issued in mid-February. These recent charges add to the auto theft charges from early January, when a stolen Lamborghini was found at a property owned by Jennings, along with two suspected stolen Chevrolet Corvettes.
In that case, a Houston man tracked his stolen Lamborghini to a residence on Country Club Road in Sulphur Springs. Jennings, in social media posts, maintains his innocence, claiming he had no knowledge of the vehicles' history when he purchased them.
Bond for Jennings has been set at $100,000 for the Theft Prop >=$300k charge and an additional $50,000 for the latest charge of Placing Serial Number With Intent to Change Identity..
