Hopkins County Deputies responded to a call on February 22, 2024, regarding a car stuck in the mud at the cemetery on N Davis St.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered Michael Taylor, who fled into the nearby woods. After a brief search, Taylor surrendered to deputies. It was revealed that Taylor had an outstanding warrant, leading to his arrest without incident.
The vehicle was impounded, and Taylor, aged 40, from Alba, Texas, was booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $10,000.
