Greenville Police January 2024 Report: Traffic Stops, Arrests, Incidents

The Greenville Police Department has unveiled its monthly activity report for January 2024, providing insights into various incidents and law enforcement actions within the community.

In the report, it was disclosed that there were a total of 600 traffic stops conducted by the department during the month. Among these stops, there were 37 major collisions and 50 minor collisions reported. Additionally, the department responded to 20 hit and run crashes.

Furthermore, the report detailed the volume of calls for service received by the GPD, totaling 2,737. Within these calls, there were 96 arrests made by law enforcement officers.

In terms of property-related offenses, the report noted 14 burglaries, with 3 specifically involving vehicles. Additionally, there were 54 theft incidents reported during the month. The department also responded to a total of 49 cases of criminal trespass.

Regarding violent offenses, the report indicated 10 assaults and 30 cases of family violence that were addressed by the Greenville Police Department during January 2024.
