On the evening of January 31, 2024, at around 9:40 PM, Hunt County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a shooting incident on Locust Street in Campbell, TX. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a juvenile victim who had sustained two gunshot wounds. The victim was airlifted to the hospital for medical attention.
As of the latest update, the victim is reported to be in stable condition following surgery.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office took Luis Gerardo Alvarez, a resident of Campbell, into custody in connection with the incident. Alvarez is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and a bond of $100,000 has been set.
