On Friday evening, just before 9:00 PM, Sulphur Springs Officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1400 block of Industrial. Acting on probable cause, they proceeded to search the vehicle. The individual arrested during the stop, Tr'aquarion Ezekel Hanger, confirmed ownership of a backpack found in the vehicle. However, an inspection revealed a passport inside containing three different identifications, none of which belonged to Hanger. When questioned about the individuals, he claimed were family members, Hanger couldn't correctly identify them from pictures shown. The arresting officer concluded Hanger possessed at least three forms of identification not belonging to him, and he did not know the individuals.
Following the arrest, 21-year-old Tr'aquarion Ezekel Hanger of Pascagoula, Mississippi, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Hopkins County jail. He was booked for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information under Texas Penal Code 32.51(b-1), a State Jail Felony.
