On January 26, 2024, the joint efforts of the Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, along with the Marshall Police Department Special Response Team and Harrison County Emergency Response Team, resulted in the execution of two narcotics search warrants in Marshall.
At 610 South Carter, 43-year-old Travis Keith Harris was detained, and a subsequent search of the residence uncovered approximately 36 grams of methamphetamine and one handgun. Harris, residing within 1000 feet of Wiley College, was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 in a Drug-Free Zone. Additionally, due to his parole status until 2038 for prior felony convictions, Harris faces a charge of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Simultaneously, at 1203 Elsie Street, 42-year-old Marsha Sheane White and 21-year-old Tyrique Tyrell Stephenson were found inside. Investigators discovered approximately 8.75 pounds of marijuana, about 14 grams of ecstasy, 1 AR-15 rifle with a 50-drum magazine, two handguns, and approximately $1,800 in cash. White and Stephenson were transported to the Harrison County Jail and booked for Possession of Marijuana more than 5 lbs and less than 50 lbs, as well as Possession of Controlled Substance PG2. Both charges were enhanced to Drug-Free Zone violations, given the proximity to a daycare.
Following the search warrant investigations, Task Force Officers and the Harrison County Emergency Response Team responded to 201 Mollie Lane in Elysian Fields, Texas. There, they located 38-year-old Jason Vann Warren, wanted for two outstanding felony arrest warrants out of Denton County. Warren was arrested for two counts of Burglary of a Habitation Intend Other Felony, both 1st Degree Felony Offenses. Consequently, Warren now faces a total of five charges out of Denton County.
Harrison County Sheriff Brandon J. Fletcher expressed satisfaction with the ongoing coordinated effort between the Marshall Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office to apprehend drug dealers and violent criminals, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining public safety.
