Republican Candidates Host Public Forums in Greenville

Republican candidates for various public offices are set to engage with Northeast Texas voters in upcoming public forums at The Landmark on Lee Street in Greenville. The first forum, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, will feature candidates from Texas House District 2, Hunt County attorney, tax assessor, and Precinct 3 county commissioner positions. The second event, on Friday, Feb. 9, will showcase Republicans running for U.S. Congressional District 3, state board of education, and other offices. Both forums will open doors at 6 p.m., with programs starting at 6:30 p.m. The Landmark on Lee Street is located at 2920 Lee St., downtown Greenville.

Early voting for the March 5 primaries is set to take place from Feb. 20 to March 1, while the deadline for voter registration for March is Feb. 5.

In addition, Texas House District 2 candidates Jill Dutton and Brent Money will participate in a Meet the Candidates forum hosted by the Hunt County Economic Development Alliance on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Warren Civic Center in Greenville, is free, but attendees must register at GreenvilleChamber.com.
