On January 4, 2024, 23-year-old Damonte Javon Yarbrough of Greenville was arrested by Dallas Police Officers on charges of burglary of habitation, evading, and resisting arrest. His initial bond amount was set at $85,000.
On January 15, 2024, Yarbrough, who had previously been released on bond, was located by Greenville Police Officers and arrested again. During this arrest, he physically and verbally resisted the officers. Yarbrough now faces additional charges of resisting arrest search or transport, interfering with public duties, and harassment of a public servant. His current bond is set at $14,000.
It is noteworthy that Yarbrough had a prior arrest on November 22, 2022, by the Aubrey Police Department. The charges from that arrest include assault on a family member with a previous conviction and interference with emergency requests for assistance.
