The Commerce Police Department responded to a call at Culver Crossing Apartments on Culver Street on Wednesday, December 13, where they discovered the lifeless body of 34-year-old Ashley Emory inside an apartment unit.
Justice of the Peace Kerry Crews ordered an autopsy, the results of which confirmed that Emory's death was a result of homicide.
The autopsy report indicates that Emory sustained fatal injuries from blunt force trauma, including compression to her neck.
