In a heartwarming display of community support, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office recently received assistance from an unexpected source to ensure a family in need would have gifts for Christmas. A concerned mother reached out to the Sheriff's Office, expressing her hope for her children to have a joyful holiday season.
Within just 30 minutes of the call, the Mt. Vernon Tiger Cheerleaders extended a helping hand by volunteering to contribute to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Christmas Stocking Drive. Without hesitation, the cheerleaders, led by their coach Sawyer Cunningham, committed to purchasing all the necessary gifts for the large family.
After receiving details about the children, the Mt. Vernon Tiger Cheerleaders promptly set to work, collecting new toys and clothes to bring holiday cheer to the family. The Franklin County Law Enforcement Family expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the cheerleaders, their coach, and the supportive parents who rallied together to ensure no family would go without during Christmas.
The community is encouraged to join in thanking the Mt. Vernon Tiger Cheerleaders for their generosity, and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office extends blessings to these young ladies and to the entire Franklin County community.

In a separate development, the Mt. Vernon Tiger Cheerleaders are gearing up to defend their 2023 UIL State Championship title on Thursday, January 4, 2024. The championship will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. The cheerleaders invite the community to show support by attending the event and cheering them on as they strive to maintain their championship status.
