On December 19, 2023, Greenville Police Officers responded to a domestic violence call, leading to the arrest of 41-year-old Odis Dewayne McCrary. This marks his third arrest this year for domestic violence incidents. Upon arrival, officers took McCrary into custody and transported him to the Hunt County Jail.
McCrary faces multiple charges, including assault family member with a previous conviction, violating a protective order two or more times within 12 months, assault family violence causing bodily injury, and possession of drugs. His bond has been set at $45,000. He has already bonded out of jail.
Notably, McCrary has an extensive history of arrests in Hunt County, Rockwall County, and Smith County. In 2019, he faced charges for aggravated sexual assault of a child. Surprisingly, he is not currently listed in the public sex offender registry for Texas. Despite previous arrests and bond amounts, McCrary appears to persist in his violent and dangerous behavior.
