On December 9, 2023, Hunt County Sheriff Deputies swiftly responded to a family violence call at a residence in the 4100 block of County Road 2613 in Caddo Mills. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a tumultuous scene where a male subject had allegedly attacked a family member through choking.
The suspect, identified as Billy Martin Stewart, was arrested and transported to the Hunt County Jail. Stewart faces charges of aggravated assault of a family member with a weapon and assault of a family member by impeding someone's breathing or circulation. His total bond has been set at $50,000.
