Hunt County Raid: Greenville Man Arrested in Significant Drug and Firearm Seizure

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, the Hunt County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Greenville Police Department, executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 2500 block of Hunt County Road 4305 in Greenville, Texas. The search resulted in the discovery of a substantial amount of methamphetamines, Fentanyl pills, and various other controlled substances.

Additionally, law enforcement officers seized a stolen firearm, four other firearms, and a significant cache of ammunition during the search. John Marvin Woodson Jr., a 36-year-old resident of Greenville currently on parole for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, was taken into custody.

Woodson Jr. faces charges of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1B (more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams), and five counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Following his arrest, Woodson Jr. was transported to the Hunt County Detention Center.. The arrest was made possible through the joint efforts of the Hunt County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville Police Department, specifically their Narcotics Division.

"I want to thank the Greenville Police Department and their Narcotics Division for working along side the Sheriff's Office to get this dealer off the streets of Hunt County.", said Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones.

Woodson Jr.'s bond has been set at $525,000.
