On December 1, 2023, Greenville Police arrested 28-year-old Jalen Charod Casselberry of Greenville for possession of drugs near a school.
Casselberry faces official charges of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance (pg 1) in an amount equal to or greater than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, analogue (substance created to mimic effects of a controlled substance while attempting to circumvent legal regulations), and possession of marijuana in an amount greater than 4 ounces but equal to or less than 5 pounds in a drug-free zone.
This arrest is not Casselberry's first encounter with the law in Hunt County, as he has a history of several arrests related to drug offenses. At the age of 17, he was arrested for the burglary of a home.
