On the night of November 21, 2023, the Hunt County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a drunk woman on the street. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies encountered 34-year-old Anastasia Elizabeth Leonard of Campbell, who was visibly intoxicated.
In an effort to ensure her safety and that of others, law enforcement officials attempted to arrest Leonard. However, she resisted the arrest. The deputies were able to quickly subdue her without further incident.
Leonard now faces charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest, search, or transport. Her bond has been set at $2,000.
