Greenville Police Department Launches Special Needs Database Program

The Greenville Police Department (GPD) has introduced a Special Needs Database program aimed at assisting individuals with developmental disabilities. The program allows individuals to voluntarily submit their information to a dedicated database, providing crucial details that can aid officers in responding to calls or interacting with these individuals.

Managed by the Operations Support Division, the database operates according to specific guidelines to ensure the privacy and security of the information provided. The initiative seeks to enhance communication and understanding between law enforcement and individuals with developmental disabilities, ultimately promoting a safer and more supportive community.

For more information about the Special Needs Database program, interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Operations Support Division at 903-453-0423.
