Greenville City Council Provides New Recreation Center Project Costs

On Tuesday, March 28, the Greenville City Council unanimously passed a resolution authorizing the publication of a Notice of Intention to issue Certificates of Obligation in a principal amount not to exceed $65,000,000. The $65,000,000 Recreation Center Project is planned to include the construction of a new recreation/athletic/aquatic center to be located at the Greenville SportsPark and expansion to the Reecy Davis Recreation Center. 

The Project Goals are revenue neutral with no increase in City Taxes (senior’s taxes are frozen) and focus on regional attraction and addressing overcrowding.
