Camp County deputies apprehended Yulkel Andre Curley, 48, and Jesus Hilario Amaya, 32, on Monday, September 18, on charges related to the Manufacture-Delivery of a Controlled Substance, falling between the range of more than 200 grams and less than 400 grams.
These arrests were the result of a collaborative operation involving the Camp County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division (DPS CID), as confirmed by Sheriff John Cortelyou.
Sheriff Cortelyou expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support of DPS CID, stating, "We are so fortunate to have the cooperation and support of DPS CID."
These latest arrests follow closely behind four previous arrests involving charges of Manufacture-Delivery of a Controlled Substance, exceeding 4 grams but less than 200 grams, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. On September 8, a total of approximately 106 grams of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine were seized during the arrests of Troy Joe Anderton, 52, Brendan Ray Allen Anderson, 31, Eddie Charles Fletcher Jr., 45, and Devontae Ladre Jeffery, 31.
Sheriff Cortelyou expressed pride in the dedicated efforts of his deputies to combat drug-related issues in Camp County, stating, "I am very proud of the effort our deputies have been putting forth to help stem the flow of drugs in Camp County."
