MARSHALL, Texas — A narcotics investigation led to the seizure of drugs and firearms and the arrest of a suspect during a coordinated law enforcement operation Friday, authorities said.

On Friday, April 10, 2026, the Marshall Police Department Special Response Team and the Harrison County Special Response Team executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of East Houston Street. The warrant stemmed from an investigation by the Joint Harrison County Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force into suspected drug activity in the area.

The operation included assistance from federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as part of a broader investigation into criminal enterprise and drug trafficking.

During the search, investigators recovered cocaine, methamphetamine, and firearms.

Authorities arrested 39-year-old Gelacio Alejandre Rosales at the scene. He has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance related to cocaine and methamphetamine. Officials said additional federal charges are pending.

Several other individuals at the residence were detained during the operation. As part of the federal investigation, seven individuals were taken into custody on federal immigration violations.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues efforts to address drug trafficking and related criminal activity in the community.
