Dallas Man Killed in Shooting at Terrell Park, No Suspect Identified

TERRELL, Texas — A Dallas man has died following a shooting Sunday night at a park in Terrell, and police are searching for answers.

Officers with the Terrell Police Department responded around 9:48 p.m. on April 5 to reports of gunfire at Breezy Hill Park in the 300 block of New Hope Street.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical aid until emergency personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as 42-year-old Kenneth W. Mims of Dallas.

No suspect has been identified at this time.
