In a joint operation, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office and the Commerce Police Department executed a search warrant today in the 1400 block of Hunt St. in Commerce, Texas. This operation is part of an ongoing investigation stemming from a previous warrant executed on August 30, 2023, in the 4700 Block of Moulton St. in Greenville, Texas, where two arrests were made.
During the execution of today's warrant, law enforcement officers discovered significant quantities of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and ecstasy. Additionally, they seized two firearms and a substantial amount of US currency.
Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones expressed his commitment to ensuring the safety of the community, stating, "I want the citizens of Hunt County to feel safe, knowing we will continue removing drugs and dealers from our streets. It makes me proud that with the continued investigations and arrests made for drug offenses, we have seen a decrease in other crimes in Hunt County."
