On August 30, 2023, a joint operation between the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Narcotics Unit led to the execution of a narcotics-related search warrant in the 4700 block of Moulton St., Greenville, TX 75401.
The search warrant was the culmination of a comprehensive investigation carried out by the Hunt County Narcotics Unit and the Hunt County Interdiction Unit. As a result of this operation, law enforcement officials were able to confiscate a significant amount of illegal substances and firearms.
Among the items seized were four firearms, a substantial amount of US currency, as well as various illicit substances including methamphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, and flunitrazepam (also known by the street name "Ruffes").
Hunt County Sheriff Terry Jones emphasized the commitment of local law enforcement to combat drug-related activities within the county. He stated, "Hunt County Law enforcement will not stop working to combat the drug dealing in this county. This activity will not be tolerated in Hunt County, and we will continue to investigate the sale of illegal narcotics at this location and any other location." Sheriff Jones further asserted, "It has been my mission since taking office to get these drug dealers off the streets and I will continue to put them in jail to protect our loved ones from the poison they are distributing."
Sheriff Jones expressed his gratitude towards the collaborative efforts of various law enforcement divisions, including the Hunt County Narcotics Investigators, Criminal Investigation Division, Hunt County Interdiction Unit, Hunt County SWAT Team, and the Greenville Police Department. These combined efforts have significantly contributed to the ongoing fight against the manufacturing and distribution of illegal narcotics within Hunt County.
