HUNT COUNTY, Texas - A 26-year-old Wills Point man was killed early Saturday after losing control of an SUV and crashing into a tree on a Hunt County road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Corey Shane Tacker was driving a 2017 Ford Expedition southbound on County Road 3609 when the crash occurred around midnight Saturday, Sept. 19.
DPS investigators said Tacker was traveling at an unsafe speed when he lost control of the Expedition.
The SUV left the roadway and struck a tree.
Tacker was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other occupants or vehicles were mentioned in the information released by DPS.
The crash remains under investigation.
