Today, August 28, 2023, just after 10:00 AM, Garland police officers were dispatched to 342 West Oates Road, Audubon Park, about a male subject possibly passed out in a vehicle. Officers arrived on the scene and determined the male was deceased with an injury indicating he was the victim of a gunshot.
Garland detectives responded to the scene and the victim was identified as 21-year-old Arturo Pena of Mesquite. Mr. Pena had been reported as a missing person to the Dallas police department on August 27, 2023, case number 154529-2023.
Detectives are actively working on the case and are processing all collected evidence.
