In Wood County case # 25,315-2023, Michelle Denise Freudiger signed a plea deal with prosecution in Judge Brad McCampbell's court room. Freudiger recieved 10 years deferred adjudicated probation after she pled guilty in order to avoid jail time on the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Freudiger must also complete 320 hours of community service.
The original incident unfolded on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, when 47-year-old Michelle Denise Freudiger was arrested for shooting her husband in the face.
At approximately 4:15 pm on that day, Wood County Dispatch received a distress call from Michelle Freudiger claiming to have shot her husband. Wood County deputies arrived at the scene to find the situation under control. Freudiger was taken into custody without further incident.
Freudiger's husband remained conscious and coherent despite the grave nature of his injuries while being attended to by medical professionals. He was subsequently transported via ground ambulance, accompanied by a police escort, to a Tyler hospital.
