POTTSBORO, Texas - A Grayson County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he stood naked outside his home and exposed himself while children were waiting for a school bus and others were already aboard the bus.
Yancy Darren Tate was arrested following the Aug. 31 incident and charged with indecency with a child by exposure, indecent exposure and public lewdness, according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 6:45 a.m. to the 100 block of Quail Creek Circle in Pottsboro after receiving a report of a naked man outside a residence in view of children.
A witness provided deputies with a description of the man and identified the home he had returned to. Deputies went to the residence and identified the man as Tate.
As deputies and investigators interviewed additional witnesses, they received reports that Tate had been outside his home with his genitals exposed while performing sexual acts on himself, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Investigators developed probable cause and obtained a warrant for Tate's arrest.
He was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Grayson County Jail, where he was being held on $120,000 bond.
The Sheriff's Office credited a Pottsboro ISD bus driver with taking quick action that prevented additional children from being exposed to the incident.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed similar conduct involving Tate on the morning of Aug. 31 to contact the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.
