KILGORE, Texas — A man wanted on multiple warrants has been arrested after authorities located him in neighboring Panola County.
The Kilgore Police Department announced that Scotty Bradberry was taken into custody Tuesday with assistance from the Panola County Sheriff's Office.
In a social media post, Kilgore police jokingly claimed they used the National Security Agency and the U.S. Space Force to locate Bradberry before crediting Panola County Sheriff Cutter Clinton and his deputies for their assistance.
Authorities said Bradberry also fled from Panola County deputies before being captured, resulting in an additional criminal charge.
According to Kilgore police, Bradberry was wanted on four warrants stemming from an incident last week.
Investigators said Bradberry was aware that a protective order prohibited him from returning to a residence and had previously been warned by a judge to stay away following an earlier family violence arrest. Police allege he violated that order by returning to the residence.
The department also warned that additional charges could be filed against individuals accused of helping Bradberry avoid arrest.
"It is time people stop enabling Scotty and let him do his time," the department said. "Maybe, just maybe, he can get the help he needs."
Police added that the case is connected to methamphetamine use, saying substance abuse continues to be a driving factor in many repeat criminal cases.
