LONGVIEW, Texas — A Longview man has been arrested after police say he shot another man during a domestic-related incident Sunday morning.
According to the Longview Police Department, officers responded at approximately 8:56 a.m. on July 5 to a reported shooting in the 300 block of Hudson Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by the Longview Fire Department to a local hospital with injuries that police said were not life-threatening.
During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute and identified 39-year-old Kaylon Rashaud Thomas as the suspect.
Investigators obtained arrest warrants, and Thomas was taken into custody.
He has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony
- Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Causing Bodily Injury, a second-degree felony
The investigation remains ongoing.
