On August 8, 2023, at approximately 11:01 pm, the Longview Police Department responded to a shooting that had just occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Houston Street in Longview, Texas.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 22-year-old male, Keilan Jones of Longview, had been shot during a domestic disturbance. The first officers on the scene performed CPR until EMS arrived, and Mr. Jones was then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died from the injuries.
This incident is domestic in nature, and the other involved party has been identified. Police are continuing the investigation at this time.
