Wylie East Assistant Principal Arrested on Charge of Compelling Prostitution of a Minor

Zachary Neu

WYLIE, Texas - A Wylie East High School assistant principal has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate communications with a recent graduate, according to the Wylie Police Department.

Police announced that 32-year-old Zachary Neu of Richardson was arrested on June 4, 2026, and charged with Compelling Prostitution Under Age 18.

According to investigators, the arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Wylie Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division after authorities received a report alleging that Neu had been communicating inappropriately with a recent 2026 graduate of Wylie East High School.

During the investigation, detectives determined that Neu allegedly offered to purchase alcohol for the graduate and send money for lingerie in exchange for sexual conduct.

Authorities said the investigation resulted in Neu's arrest Thursday morning at approximately 11:24 a.m.

The Wylie Police Department thanked Wylie Independent School District for its cooperation throughout the investigation.

Officials said there are currently no known additional victims connected to the case. However, investigators are encouraging anyone with information or concerns regarding interactions with Neu to contact the Wylie Police Department.

Police said Wylie ISD notified parents of Wylie East students after investigators determined it was appropriate to do so.

"The Wylie Police Department and Wylie ISD take allegations involving student safety and staff misconduct very seriously," the department said in a statement. "These allegations are thoroughly investigated and addressed when they are reported."

Authorities also encouraged parents to discuss appropriate interactions between students and adults and to ensure children understand how to report conduct that makes them uncomfortable.

The investigation remains ongoing.
