Six Arrested After Henderson County Narcotics Search in Tool

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas - The Henderson County Sheriff's Office arrested six people Thursday following the execution of a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the Royal Oaks subdivision in Tool, Texas. 

According to investigators, Henderson County Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Barrios and Jude Bonner, along with other deputies, executed the warrant May 21 in the 800 block of Regal Drive. The warrant was issued by Scott McKee of the 392nd Judicial District Court as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Authorities said 49-year-old Jason Paul Jonas of Kemp attempted to flee on foot when investigators arrived at the residence. After a brief pursuit, deputies apprehended him without further incident.

During the search, investigators reported locating suspected methamphetamine along with scales, baggies, and other items commonly associated with narcotics distribution.

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation:

  • Jason Paul Jonas, 49, of Kemp, charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance and evading arrest or detention with a previous conviction. His bond was set at $110,000.
  • Steven Phillip Jonas, 45, of Tool, charged with possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • Michael Lee Jonas, 44, of Kemp, charged with possession of a controlled substance involving methamphetamine and fentanyl. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • Lynn Michelle Steller, 41, of Kemp, charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $100,000.
  • Deborah Jene Lile, 64, of Tool, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000.
  • Melton Lee Lile IV, 41, of Kemp, charged with possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $1,500.

The sheriff’s office said it remains committed to targeting illegal narcotics distribution in Henderson County.
