Undercover Sting Operation in Texarkana Leads to Arrests of Suspected Child Predators

Adarius Wills, Telvin Wilson and James Willis

In a daring undercover sting operation, officers from the Bowie County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the FBI and the Texas Department of Public Safety, successfully apprehended three men suspected of online solicitation of a minor and other serious offenses.

The operation began when investigators posted a decoy ad on a website known to be associated with illegal prostitution services. The ad, claiming to offer the services of an underage girl, caught the attention of several men who responded despite the apparent risk involved.

Undeterred by the "girl's" admission that she was underage, each of the three suspects showed unwavering determination to meet up with her and engage in illegal activities. Shock awaited them when they arrived at the designated location, expecting to find a young girl, but instead encountered a team of police officers.

The suspects were swiftly taken into custody. Adarius Wills, 33, faced charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct) and Delivery of Marijuana, with his bail set at $85,000. Telvin Wilson, 31, was charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct) and received a bond set at $100,000. James Willis, 37, faced a litany of charges, including Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct), Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, Abandoning/Endangering a Child with Intent to Return, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bail hearing was pending.

The investigators were applauded for their meticulous planning and execution of the operation, which removed dangerous individuals from the community and potentially saved vulnerable children from exploitation. Their coordinated efforts and dedication were instrumental in bringing these suspects to justice.
