Forney Man Arrested on Federal Warrant After Meth Seizure in High-Risk SWAT Operation

Markish Woodard

TERRELL, TX - A 39-year-old Forney man was taken into federal custody after authorities seized more than 200 grams of methamphetamine and other evidence during a high-risk narcotics warrant in Kaufman County, officials said.

On February 4, 2026, the Terrell Police Department, working with the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Street Crimes Unit, executed the warrant at 1031 Kimbro Drive in Forney. Investigators said the operation targeted a suspected methamphetamine distributor supplying narcotics throughout Terrell and the surrounding county.

The warrant was carried out without incident, and all occupants of the residence were secured upon entry.

During the search, investigators recovered more than 200 grams of methamphetamine, additional suspected controlled substances pending laboratory analysis, a concealed firearm, ammunition, digital scales, $1,364 in cash and multiple vehicles connected to the investigation. One of the vehicles was confirmed stolen out of Houston.

The suspect, identified as Markish Deon Woodard, was arrested on a federal warrant issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration and transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. State felony charges are pending.

Authorities said the operation disrupted a source of methamphetamine distribution in the area and involved coordinated efforts between local and federal agencies.
