A Henderson County man is headed to prison after being convicted on three counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Isaac Antwon Darty was sentenced last week to 15 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice by 392nd District Court Judge Scott McKee. Assistant District Attorney Christian Simpson prosecuted the case.
The conviction stems from an April 8, 2025, search warrant carried out by Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jonathan Barrios at a residence on County Road 3718. As Barrios and other investigators entered the home, they were immediately met with a strong smell of marijuana. A search of the residence uncovered a significant amount of drugs, cash, and weapons.
Deputies seized 1.59 pounds of marijuana, 35.62 grams of cocaine, 32.63 grams of morphine, and more than 32 grams of alprazolam. Investigators also found several firearms, including two that were confirmed stolen, along with cash connected to the drug activity.
During questioning, Darty told investigators that all the drugs, guns, and money belonged to him.
With the sentence now handed down, Darty has been transferred to state custody to begin serving his 15-year term.
