A tight-knit community in Talco is mourning the loss of one of its own after a devastating accident on Saturday evening. Cleveland L. Ault, 51, lost his life while riding an ATV on County Road 1915.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when Ault was operating a Polaris Ranger ATV heading northbound on the rural road. According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, it appears that Ault was traveling at an unsafe speed when he lost control of the ATV, causing it to roll on its side. The force of the accident led to Ault being partially ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, but tragically, Ault was pronounced dead on arrival.
