New Boston Man Arrested for Armed Robbery of Mount Pleasant Convenience Stores

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) officers arrested a New Boston man on Wednesday night, October 29th, following a report of multiple armed robberies at local convenience stores.

MPPD Patrol Officers responded to the reports, including one at the EZ Mart Shell on the 300 block of W. Ferguson Rd. Using witness descriptions and video evidence, officers quickly identified the suspect.

The suspect, identified as William Edmond Gossett, 49, of New Boston, TX, was located and taken into custody without further incident.

Gossett was booked into the Titus County Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery. No bond has been set yet. The MPPD commended the quick response and safe apprehension of the armed suspect by their Patrol Officers and Detectives.
