July 19th:
- Corporal Croney responded to an animal bite on County Road 2176, where the dog owner was cited for failure to vaccinate the dog.
- A tragic incident occurred when Sgt Williams, Corporal Rapp, and Deputy Smith were dispatched to an EMS assist. A male had fallen approximately 30 feet to the ground and was confirmed deceased by EMS.
- Sgt Williams took a request to speak with victims who reported someone trying to solicit them over social media. The case was forwarded to investigations pending further information.
July 20th:
- Deputy Pollard took a theft report in the lobby, where the victim claimed money and other items went missing after allowing a friend into the residence over the weekend.
- Corporal Croney responded to a theft on Hwy 80, involving a suspect who allegedly took cattle and attempted to hit the victim with his vehicle. The suspect reportedly drove through a fence during the incident.
- Sgt Morrison took a theft report by phone, where a vehicle shared by a mother and daughter was reported stolen. The case was considered a civil issue due to the shared ownership of the vehicle.
- Corporal Rapp responded to a disturbance in Holly Lake Ranch, where a male was accused of pointing a firearm at a female, though no physical altercation occurred.
July 21st:
- Deputy Rapp took a theft report on Private Road 6953, where a family member was suspected of stealing items from the victim's residence. However, serial numbers for the missing items were not available.
- Deputy Hughes was dispatched to a disturbance on FM 1795, which is being investigated for assault charges after the suspect allegedly acted aggressively.
- Deputy Rapp was dispatched to a criminal mischief on County Road 1301, where a property owner believed a neighbor was tampering with his boat.
- Corporal Burdick was dispatched to investigate an illegal dumping on Private Road 7908, with a possible suspect identified.
July 22nd:
- Deputy Kovic responded to the ER for a shooting victim. All parties involved stated that the shooting was accidental, as the shooter believed the gun was unloaded.
- Deputy Rapp and Deputy Kovic responded to a 911 hang-up with an assault victim. The female victim refused entry to the property, despite showing signs of assault.
- Sgt Mayer and Deputy Rapp responded to a welfare concern on FM 17, where a female claimed to have no access to food, water, or shelter. She was taken to a shelter for assistance.
- Sgt Mayer and Deputy Hughes responded to a disturbance in Yantis, resulting in the arrest of Christopher Winkle for assault.
- Deputy Hughes was dispatched to a deadly conduct incident at Lake Hawkins, where a suspect claimed self-defense in response to verbal altercations near the boat ramp.
July 23rd:
- Deputies responded to a disturbance in Holiday Village, where parties were arguing over shared custody of a vehicle. The vehicle was eventually towed as a resolution.
- Deputies responded to a disturbance on County Road 3250, where a person threatened to harm a dog, leading the property owner to ask the individual to leave.
July 24th:
- Deputy Pollard responded to a criminal mischief incident in Yantis, where both vehicles had shattered back windows and a knife was found stuck in one of the tires.
- Corporal Croney responded to an illegal burning on Hwy 154, uncovering a controlled burn with illegal items. The fire department was called in to extinguish the fire, and a report was filed for the fire marshal.
- Sgt Williams was dispatched to an assault at the Winnsboro ER, where a victim reported being hit with a gun by one to three individuals at Lake Winnsboro.
- Deputy Pollard took a theft report by phone, where an unauthorized charge was made on a Walmart account. The suspect's name and address were obtained for investigation.
July 25th:
- Corporal Croney and Deputy Whisenhunt responded to a disturbance on County Road 3811. The argument was verbal only, but it led to the arrest of Jordan Coyne due to an active warrant.
- Corporal Croney took a criminal trespass report by phone, where a suspect, without permission, entered a property to retrieve their children.
- Sgt Williams assisted Alba PD in an assault case that led to the arrest of one of the parents involved.
