Quinlan Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charge

Manuel Antonio Hernandez Jr.

QUINLAN, Texas—A Quinlan man was arrested Thursday morning after a multi-agency operation stemming from an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on August 14, 2025, law enforcement executed a residential search warrant in the 500 block of North Fifth Street. The operation involved the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Division, and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began after an electronic service provider reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an account had been used to transmit child sexual abuse material (CSAM). NCMEC referred the lead to the North Texas ICAC Task Force. The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Division received the information, initiated an investigation, and obtained a search warrant for the suspect's residence based on their findings. During the execution of the warrant, investigators secured additional evidence.

Manual Antonio Hernandez Jr., 38, of Quinlan, was taken into custody and transported to the Hunt County Detention Center. He has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography, a first-degree felony.

The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Division and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance. The Sheriff’s Office stated it is "committed to protecting children and prosecuting those who exploit them to the fullest extent of the law."
