FORNEY, Texas — A woman was found shot to death inside a home in Forney, and an adult male suspect was taken into custody following an investigation by the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a shooting call in the 1100 block of Arborwood Drive in Forney, Kaufman County.
When deputies arrived, they discovered an adult female inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Male Suspect Taken Into Custody
Following further investigation, Kaufman County sheriff's deputies took an adult male suspect into custody.
The man was transported to the Kaufman County Detention Center.
The sheriff's office said the investigation remains ongoing and that there is no known threat to the community.
