Greenville Man Arrested After Meth, Marijuana, and Firearm Seized in Drug Raid

GREENVILLE, Texas – In July 2025, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into reports that 68-year-old Greenville resident Franklyn Andrew Tatum was distributing methamphetamine and marijuana from his home.

On August 11, 2025, deputies with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Greenville Police Department and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 2800 block of Hemphill Street.

During the search, officers recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, a firearm, digital scales, and packaging materials commonly used in the manufacture and distribution of illegal narcotics.

Sheriff Jones thanked the Greenville Police Department and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation and execution of the search warrant.
