On August 9, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Greenville Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 3500 block of Lee Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim, identified as 47-year-old Derrick Davis, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Davis was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
