COMMERCE, TX – East Texas A&M University will host its summer commencement ceremonies on August 9 and 10, celebrating a total of 756 graduates at the university Field House. The graduating class includes a wide range of students, from a 16-year-old to a 69-year-old, with students hailing from 22 different U.S. states and two countries.
Of the graduates, 322 are first-generation college students, and 30 are international students. Additionally, 43% of the class has earned academic distinction.
Three ceremonies are scheduled to take place:

Graduate School Ceremony (All master’s and doctoral students): Friday, August 8, at 4:30 p.m.

Undergraduate Ceremony (College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, College of Business, College of Education and Human Services, College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts, and the College of Science and Engineering): Saturday, August 9, at 8:30 a.m.

Undergraduate Ceremony (College of Innovation and Design): Saturday, August 9, at 10:30 a.m.
The university reminds all attendees that an admission ticket is required for guests and that a clear bag policy will be strictly enforced at the door. Prohibited items include backpacks, large purses, and diaper bags, while clear plastic or vinyl bags and small wallet-sized clutches are permitted.
