Princeton Man Sentenced to 19 Years in Federal Prison for Drug and Gun Crimes

SHERMAN, TX – A Princeton man has been sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms violations. Larry Wayne Culverhouse, 39, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant, III, on July 30, 2025, after pleading guilty to three charges.

According to court documents, Culverhouse was found in possession of a firearm and 504.3 grams of methamphetamine on August 30, 2023. A subsequent investigation revealed that he was a convicted felon and was prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.

Culverhouse pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and prosecuted by Acting U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative.
