Garland Detectives Identify Suspect Wanted In Scooter Murder Case

Jesus Trevino was taken into custody at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center today, July 26TH. The second unidentified subject is still at large, and Police continue to ask for the public’s assistance.

Trevino was booked in for Murder, with a bond amount of 1 million dollars, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, with a bond amount of $750,000.00.

Garland Detectives have identified Jesus Roberto Trevino as a person of interest in the July 18 murder of Brisen Dewayne Dunn, which occurred in the 3300 block of South Shiloh Road. Dunn was riding his scooter when shot.  Trevino currently has warrants for Murder and Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and is being sought.

Garland Detectives are also asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a second unknown subject seen below. This subject was seen leaving the area of 11438 LBJ Freeway, just inside of the Dallas city limits, on the day of the offense.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Trevino or with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the Garland Police Department at 972-485-4840.

Tips may also be submitted anonymously to Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-8477 (TIPS) or www.garlandcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest.
