A domestic disturbance call on Calvert Street early Sunday morning, June 15, 2025, led to the arrest of 32-year-old Briana Lee Phillips after she allegedly became uncooperative with Sulphur Springs officers, yelling, pushing, and resisting commands.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered Phillips, who was involved in a domestic dispute. According to police records, she began yelling and pushing officers and refused commands to sit down so they could investigate further.
Officers were able to handcuff Phillips and seat her in a chair inside the home. However, she reportedly managed to slip her handcuffs and had to be physically restrained by the officers once again. Due to her continued refusal to walk, she was carried out to a patrol vehicle and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
The report indicates that Phillips remained uncooperative with jail staff and was subsequently placed in a high-security holding cell. She was charged with Interference with Public Duties. She has since been released.
