The Greenville Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, June 3, 2025, at a residence located in the 3300 block of Nashville Avenue.
At approximately 12:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Zavien Smallwood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. Smallwood was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police have identified a male suspect in connection with the case. Preliminary findings suggest the shooting stemmed from a domestic disturbance.
