A juvenile suspect has confessed to vandalizing the restrooms at Kids Kingdom in Buford Park following a police investigation on the evening of Wednesday, May 7.
Sulphur Springs officers responded to the park after reports of damage to the bathroom facilities. Surveillance footage reviewed by officers led to the identification of the suspect, who later admitted to causing the damage.
Due to the suspect’s age, no further identifying details have been released. Authorities are urging parents to speak with their children about the consequences of vandalism. Officials stated that individuals caught damaging city parks will be prosecuted and issued a criminal trespass warning, barring them from entering any city park under any circumstance.
