On Monday, April 21st, at approximately 8:43 p.m., Jasper County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a possible burglary in the 200 block of Audrey St. in Brookeland.
Upon arriving and beginning to clear the structure, a deputy heard someone fleeing into the nearby woods. While searching the area, the deputy encountered 39-year-old Justin Elton Key of Brookeland. The investigation into the initial burglary report is ongoing.
