On Thursday, March 20th, a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper made a traffic stop in Hunt County, where the driver, 25-year-old Salanna Jade Sumrow of Greenville, was found to be legally intoxicated. Sumrow was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and taken into custody.
While in custody, Sumrow managed to break free and fled the scene. A foot chase ensued, and she was quickly captured by authorities. She was transported to the Hunt County Detention Center, where she was charged with DWI, Fleeing a Police Officer, and Escape from Custody.
Sumrow’s total bond was set at $7,500, and she bonded out of jail on Friday.
