Marshall Woman Arrested After Pointing Handgun at Coworker

On Friday, January 17, 2025, officers with the Marshall Police Department (MPD) arrested 34-year-old Krystle Johnson after she allegedly pointed a handgun at a coworker at a business located in the 5900 block of East End Blvd. South.

At approximately 11 a.m., the Marshall Emergency Telecommunications Center received a report of an armed individual at the location. Upon arrival, officers learned that a bystander had initially intervened and disarmed Johnson. However, she managed to regain possession of the firearm and brandished it toward other bystanders.

While attempting to flee the scene, Johnson was apprehended by MPD officers without further incident.

Johnson faces multiple charges, including:

  • Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon
  • Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon
  • Deadly Conduct

No injuries were reported during the incident, and officers ensured the safety of all employees and patrons at the scene.

MPD commended the quick actions of their officers and the bravery of the bystander, which contributed to resolving the dangerous situation safely. Authorities urge the public to report any suspicious or threatening activity to law enforcement immediately.
